Slumbernight Sovereign DivanThe Sovereign memory foam bed is an extremely comfortable bed that offers the benefits of memory foam technology at an affordable price. A memory foam bed feels a little different to a conventional bed but the vast majority of people agree that this type of bed is far more comfortable. This is because you are essentially sleeping on a soft layer of foam that moulds precisely to the shape of your body, and at the same time heats up to the temperature of your body thanks to its heat retaining properties. Getting back to the Sovereign, this memory foam bed uses a layer of foam that is covered in a thin layer of breathable fabric. What you really notice about the Sovereign is how soft and comfortable the bed is - soft and supportive because of the nature of the foam. You are much closer to the soft foam when sleeping on this bed than you are when sleeping on other memory foam beds and there are definitely advantages to this. The layer of foam on this memory foam bed is not as thick (40mm) as on the Viscolux Indulgence or Touch Elegance but if you are an adult of average weight this doesn't matter. So, we recommend the Sovereign for the following: 1) Main bed (adults average weight or less) - excellent comfort 2) A very high quality bed for kids 3) A brilliant bed for the elderly (because it is so soft) The Sovereign is also one of the latest beds that use a layer of memory foam on top of a more conventional pocket sprung unit. If there is one drawback of memory foam beds it is that the memory foam doesn't breath as well as conventional materials. Rather than being made entirely from foam then, the newer combination beds like the Sovereign have only a modest layer of the foam on top of a conventional spring unit. This means you can enjoy the breathability and support of a pocket sprung bed and the comfort of a memory foam bed at the same time. |
